The City of Brussels joins other municipalities in the Brussels region in the digital transformation and now offers an online solution for school registrations.
An online registration solution on the IRISbox platform of the CIRB is now available for the citizens of the City and has been in place for the registration of pupils in reception and nursery classes of the City of Brussels since 10 January 2022.
This year, the solution was designed to be hybrid, with the possibility of registering "the old way" but also online, in order to offer a solution that includes everyone, especially those suffering from the digital divide. Registration requests are registered in the order of arrival at the call centre or via the IRISbox web platform. The citizen then receives an automatic email within 24 hours to confirm their pre-registration or their place on the waiting list.
We can say that the project has been a great success, despite a few small problems at the start. But these were quickly resolved thanks to the excellent collaboration between the teams.
The mission was carried out by Audrey Bikx, Project Manager of the IP projects, Marc Breda and Gentjana Coco, from the Development & Integration department, and, more generally, Jean-Jacques Parent's teams and the Services and Network teams.
According to Audrey, the strength of the project was working hand in hand with the IP and City teams who were able to share their experience to ensure good coordination and efficient management. There is strength in numbers, isn't there?
